Who we support at Claremont House
01
Learning Disabilities
At Claremont House we offer a safe and nurturing environment for individuals with learning disabilities, empowering them to live fulfilling, independent lives with personalised care. Our person-centered approach honours each individual's unique needs and goals, ensuring their voices are heard in every decision. By working closely with families and experts, we provide tailored support, including Positive Behavioural Support, to address and manage behaviours through positive reinforcement and specialised interventions.
03
Complex Challenging Behaviour
We support individuals with complex challenging behaviour through a specialised, person-centered approach that identifies underlying causes and promotes positive outcomes. Our supported living conducts behavioural assessments, with input from psychologists and specialists, to understand triggers and patterns. We use Positive Behavioural Support (PBS) and positive reinforcement to help individuals learn alternative ways to express themselves and meet their needs.
05
Asperger's Syndrome
Severe Asperger's syndrome (autism spectrum) is supported through a comprehensive approach that addresses their unique needs and strengths. We provide a structured, predictable environment to promote independence, social interaction, and personal growth, while accommodating sensory sensitivities and communication differences. Our program includes teaching emotional regulation techniques, such as mindfulness and breathing exercises, to help manage emotional responses effectively.
07
Psychotic Depression
We offer specialised care for individuals with psychotic depression through a comprehensive, multidisciplinary approach. We provide regular psychiatric care, evidence-based therapies like cognitive behavioural therapy, and support by reducing exposure to overstimulating environments to manage both depressive symptoms and psychotic experiences.
02
Autism
Our autism services are tailored to meet each person’s necessities, offering structured, practical, and emotional support. We work closely with the person and their support network, adjusting our approach over time to foster independence through skill-building and coping strategies. Our supported living accommodations are designed to minimize sensory overload with calming colours, reduced noise, and sensory-friendly furnishings, including quiet areas for self-regulation. We also provide Augmentative and Alternative Communication (AAC) tools, such as communication apps, with access to speech and language therapists to enhance communication among residents.
04
ADHD
We provide a structured and supportive environment tailored to meet the needs of individuals with ADHD. Our trained staff helps service users manage focus, organisation, and impulse control by establishing regular routines and using visual calendars and schedules. These tools reduce anxiety, improve time management, and help users stay organized and on track with daily tasks
06
Epilepsy
We ensure a safe and well-organised environment tailored for individuals with epilepsy. Our team addresses the unique challenges of epilepsy by ensuring safety, promoting independence, and providing regular check-ups with specialists. We create personalised emergency plans, adjust medications as needed, and train all staff in seizure first aid, including the use of emergency medications
08
Schizoaffective Disorder
At Claremont House, we provide care for schizoaffective disorder, addressing both mood-related and psychotic symptoms. Our approach includes vocational training, employment support, and tailored social and recreational activities to reduce isolation and promote well-being. We also encourage community participation and offer creative outlets like art, music, and writing to help manage symptoms and enhance quality of life.
09
Forensic Background
At MedicProCare, we provide exceptional supported living accommodations tailored specifically for individuals with a forensic background. We recognize the unique challenges involved in delivering community-based support for those who have been discharged from secure facilities or have a history of offending. Our skilled team is dedicated to fostering independence while carefully assessing and mitigating risks. By focusing on individualised care and safety, we have developed a community support framework that offers a less restrictive, more empowering environment for our service users.
